Why Real Estate is Booming in Atlanta

With year round warm weather and endless opportunities for cultural, sports and arts entertainment, Atlanta is a metropolis of opportunity. Real estate is booming in Atlanta's capital thanks to its numerous cultural, arts, live entertainment, and business opportunities.

Culture

Atlanta is considered a global city because of it's worldwide impact on industry, technology, and culture. As the capital of Georgia, it is home to over 480,000 people, making it the most populated state in Georgia and the 39th most populated city in the country.

Atlanta has a plethora of entertainment opportunity from live concerts and sporting events to art. The Alliance Theater shows Broadway shows before they hit Broadway including the critically acclaimed Color Purple. The city is also home to numerous museums including the High Museum of Art, the Children's Museum of Atlanta, and the Delta Flight Museum.

If you enjoy the outdoors, you will enjoy Atlanta Beltline. Formerly a railway corridor that ran around the center of Atlanta, the Atlanta Beltline has 33 miles of multi-use trails and 33 acres of park to hike, bike and play in. Though more trails are being developed, hikers can enjoy trials now for a variety of skill levels.

Sports

Sports fans will feel right at home in the home of the Atlanta Falcons Hawks and Braves. Football fans will feel right at home in the new Mercedes Benz Stadium with it's 58 foot high screens that give 360 degree viewing. Baseball fans can watch their favorite team play at SunTrust Park just 10 miles northwest of downtown Atlanta.

Economy

Atlanta's economy is the 10th largest in the country and 18th largest in the world. In addition to its burgeoning film and entertainment industry, Atlanta also has booming energy, media, and communications, biotechnology and finance. The city's unemployment rate is among the lowest in the state of Georgia. Economists are predicting that Atlanta's job growth is expected to outpace the nation's economy collectively.

Coca-Cola has a major presence and influence in the city's manufacturing industry. The Coca-Cola Museum is a showcase of the history of the Coca-Cola company and spans a 20 acre complex. Other big names like Home Depot, Delta Airlines, UPS, and BellSouth drive economic growth. Major financial businesses SunTrust Banks and Invesco also call Atlanta home. Healthcare and biotechnology also have a strong presence in Atlanta. The Center for Disease Control and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission Region II are both headquartered in Atlanta.

The city also benefits from $17 billion in tax incentives after it converted to a "Renewal City" in 2002 which attracted business to its growing global economic presence.
